Reiki

'Reiki' (pronounced "Ray-Key") is a Japanese relaxation technique that works with the 'Universal Life Energy' that flows through all living things. Reiki attempts to align and stimulate this flow through the body to reduce stress and promote healing. Reiki is commonly used to bring a peaceful balance to our physical body to facilitate an environment of healing on all levels. In conjunction, Reiki is an aspect of my personal spiritual practice.

What is Reiki Like?

On a massage table, floor or chair, clients are fully clothed during a session. You may experience warmth, tingly or pulsing sensations radiating at or near where hand-positions are placed on or just above the body.  Sessions are performed fully clothed and loose fitting clothing is best. Every session is different, but you will generally experience a deep relaxation overall. People often note a floating sensation, or feel like the weight of the world has lessened. It is recommended to to drink plenty of water after a Reiki session.​

 

Water, rest, a 20 minute feet-soak or full-body soak with Epsom, Sea or Himalayan salt; are encouraged to flush, relax, ease and neutralize any rebalancing effects. It is recommended that glasses, jewelry, watches, and belts should be removed during the session.

Also known as Energy Medicine, Reiki is now available in over 60 hospitals across the country and can be an amazing complementary therapy and is offered at top hospitals.

Distance Reiki

Reiki energy flows beyond the boundaries of time and space. With Distance Reiki the energy

is connected with the recipient from a distance, as opposed to receiving above the body or hands on Reiki in person.

In your Distance Reiki session, we begin on the phone or video chat with a brief chat to discuss your intentions and goals. After we end the phone or we remain on video chat, I'll begin the 30 minute Distance Reiki session. You will want to sit or lay in a quiet place where you will not be disturbed. You or I may play relaxing music/sounds while you relax and receive Reiki. Following the session we will conclude with a 15 minute chat about your experience and anything that may have come up for you.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that unanticipated events can happen in everyone's life. To be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are to be honored: 24 hour advance notice is required when canceling an appointment. If you are unable to give 24 hours advance notice you may be charged the full amount of your appointment. This amount must be paid prior to rescheduling.

 

No-Show/No Call

Anyone who consciously chooses to forgo their appointment without notification will be considered a no-show and will not be rescheduled.

 

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Depending upon how late you arrive, we will  determine if there is enough time remaining to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the session actually given, you will be responsible for the full session. Out of respect and consideration to ourselves and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.
